Vision

We deeply value ministry to whole families and have programs and community groups focused on different life stages:  Infants / Toddlers / Children / Youth / College / Young Adults / Adults

Today’s society presents parents with challenges unknown to past generations; similarly, growing up today is perhaps more difficult for young people than ever before.  In addition, the pressure of differences between immigrant parents and American-born children can create special difficulties for families.  FEC Glendale sees its foremost ministry as a ministry to families.

Our Cantonese, English, Mandarin, Youth, Family Life, and Children's ministries work together to provide well-rounded programs of preaching, teaching, caring and fellowship so that each member of the family can find meaningful and deep fellowship.

We have cross-congregation events aimed at bringing families together.  Our congregational retreats are geared to connect generations and our youth ministry has a vision of helping families unite around the person of Jesus and live out his purposes together.

Ministry List

Couples’ Ministry

Vision: Equipping a Network of Couples Committed to Marriage and Mentoring Other Couples
We meet as a Sunday School Class to provide opportunities for couples to “tune-up” their marriage and gain greater insight into the overall health of their marriage.  The Couples’ Ministry also organizes seminars and events to enhance couples’ connectedness and strengthen their marital commitment.

Men’s Ministry
Vision: Providing Bonding and Accountability Amongst Men
The Breakfast Dialogue meets once a month on Saturday morning to gather men together and provide a forum to explore the issues that captivate the minds and hearts of men.  Periodically, we also plan to have men’s and father/child retreats during the year.

Special Needs Ministry
Vision: Equipping a Network of Volunteers to Provide Caring Support to Children with Special Needs and their Parents. Through special events throughout the year, this ministry reaches out to these families with compassion and support.

Family Life Seminars
Vision: Providing on-going education and dialogue on family issues.  These seminars are available periodically to address specific needs expressed by families, usually held on a Saturday for a few hours.
